Bought Microsoft Long Call

With the market on a roll and Microsoft (MSFT) a very hot stock, I bought 10 of the stocks Calls.

MSFT has been on an upward trend for years now. It’s one of the best stocks to own! I’ll be writing more about MSFT when I get my Wealth Builder section going. For right now I’m reporting that I bought 10 contracts of the MSFT 1/17/20 $145 Calls @ $4.50.

Buy to Open 10 MSFT 1/17/20 $145.00 C @ $4.50 ($4500)

This Call expires in January but I plan on holding for about a month or until I’m up 25%. That would be a profit of $1125. To do this my premium will have to go up from $4.50 to $5.62. Let’s watch and see how MSFT does. This is a Long Call Option, which are risky, so I give this trade a Risk Factor 3. If I went with a closer Expiration Date it would have been a Risk Factor 4 or 5 because of Time Decay.

I had a feeling I’d get another trade in lol. But this is the only trade I made today that doesn’t expire today. This will be longer term.

I also have an order to sell a Call on Square. I’ll let you know what happens. I’m going for a premium of 50¢ but I might have to lower it to 45¢ if I decide I really want it.

Successful Trading,

Steve
