News Moves the Markets!

It’s news that moves the market, and this week will not have a shortage of important news. This is a huge week for corp earnings, in addition to the Fed making a decision on rates and plenty of economic reports due out.

Some of the big companies reporting earnings this week are: Apple (AAPL), Proctor & Gamble (PG), Pfizer (PFE), Mastercard (MA), Merck (MRK), General Electric (GE), Advanced Micro Devices (AMD), Verizon (VZ), Cigna (CI), General Motors (GM), Exxon (XOM), Chevron (CHV), Beyond Meat (BYND) plus many, many more.

This past week I had a lot of positions cleared out of my account via assignment, which leaves me with plenty of funds to trade with, but I will be very careful. This week’s news will keep me on my toes!

One trade I forgot to mention was the buying of 1000 shares of Advanced Micro Devices (AMD). If you read my post from last week when I sold a Naked Call on AMD at Sold Another AMD Call, you will see I placed a “Buy Stop” order to buy 1000 shares of the stock if it hits $34.50. Well, I was filled on that buy order. It’s a long story why I placed this order, but if you read the post it will explain my reasoning.

Now I must get to work. Let’s see what I can bring in to my account this week with these news filled days ahead.
