Several weeks ago I bought 1000 shares of Weight Watchers (WW). I’ve been selling Calls since I bought. Today I sold another Call.
I bought the stock on 3/5/19 at $22.00 per share. Since then I sold Calls 4 or 5 times. Each time I received at least a 1% premium. A little while ago I did it again. The Call I just sold will expire next Friday, 5/3/19. Eleven days away. I sold 10 contracts of the WW 5/3/19 $22 Call for a premium of 35¢ for $350.

I bought the stock at $22 and received a 35¢ premium. That’s a 1.5% return on my investment. It’s not a 1 week trade but not bad for an 11 day trade. Weight Watchers reports earnings the day before expiration on 5/2/19. I hope they beat the street’s expectations so I get assigned. I would like to move on from Weight Watchers.
FYI Weight Watchers changed their ticker symbol from WTW to WW, and moved from the New York Stock Exchange to the NASDAQ.
