Sold 100 Shares of RH

In my post yesterday I listed a bunch of stocks I’m holding. I mentioned I bought these stocks and was holding them as my own little mutual fund. With holding these stocks, I was hoping to have my account grow while I was idle from trading options. It worked pretty well! Some of these stocks are held in my trading account and some are held in my “Gift Account.” You can read about my “Gift Account” by hitting this link.

Anyway, I just got home from PT. I forgot to mention that as soon as basketball ended I went in for knee surgery lol. I had a good size tear in my meniscus from my playing days. I had surgery this past Friday, 3/1. My knee feels great and I started PT today. I really hope this post starts to make sense lol.

Again, anyway, before I went to PT I decided to enter a sell order on one of my stock holdings. The stock is RH. I bought the stock on 9/5/18 for $138.86 per share. I bought 100 shares. This was right before basketball started. When I placed the sell order today the stock was at $153.50. I placed the sell order at $154.00. I’m looking to get out of some stock to free up some money to trade with. I picked RH to sell first because it’s approaching it’s all time high of about $160. Also, RH will be announcing earnings in a few weeks and I feel the earning can be a disappointment because they’re getting hurt from the trade war with China. I want to start dumping stock so I figured RH was a good place to start.

Now that I’m home from PT I opened my computer to see if my sell order was filled, and it was! I freed up some funds and made a little profit at the same time. I no longer own RH.

9/5/18 – Buy 100 Shares RH @ $138.86

3/5/19 – Sell 100 Shares RH @ $154.00

Profit $1514

I’m sorry for the long drawn out story, hopefully it wasn’t too confusing. I’m slowly getting back into my trading and Main Street beats Wall Street. I made a few trades with Weight Watchers (WTW) and now RH (RH). I’m hoping in the next few weeks I’ll start bringing in a flow of money with the funds I have available and start freeing up more funds with the selling of some of my holdings. I’ll also be working on my pages “Active Trades/Current Positions” and “Trade History 2019.” Before long I’ll be right back to where I was before basketball.

Have a good night!
