Sold 2 Netflix Calls

Hi All,

It’s been a while since I sent out a post. I really had a crazy busy 3 weeks. Last Saturday, Sept 29th, I had a big yearly party at my house. Preparing for the party caused a lot of stress and took a long time. Normally my house and back yard are ready because I use my yard often, but this year was a little different. A few months ago I had the shoulder surgery and I didn’t use the yard once this summer. I had the surgery in May and was in a sling the whole time when most people are doing summer yard work. Then the following Wednesday, Oct 3rd, I had a trip planned to Isla Mujeres, Mexico. Which I’m still here now. In the last few weeks, not only did I not have time to trade, but I didn’t even send out my week ending results. Well, I just made a trade from Mexico and trying to get back on track with Main Street beats Wall Street.

The last weekly result I sent was week ending 9/14/18. Since I’m on vacation I don’t have time to write the weekly results from week ending 9/21, 9/28 and 10/5. However, I will give you the results. Results Week Ending 10/5/18 I made no trades this week.

 

I just made my first trade in a while. The market has really been pulling back lately. I decided to take a chance and sell a Call against 200 of my Netflix (NFLX) shares. As Murphy’s Law would have it, as soon as I sold the Call the stark started moving up. That’s what happens when you try to trade when moving between the beach and the pool lol. Let’s see what happens. I wanted to sell this call in the case the stocks continue to go down. I sold 2 NFLX $352.50 Calls to expire this Friday. I received a $5 premium for $1000. Let’s see if I get assigned or not. Since I bought the stock at a high price, I hope not! I do own the 200 shares so this Covered Call gets a Risk Factor 1.

Isla Mujeres is a small island off the coast of Cancun. It’s a great place to relax. I am on Playa Norte. It’s the beach on the north end of the island.

Let me get back to the pool. I’ll be back home and back to work is a few day.
