As you know RH earnings were due out after the close yesterday. They were never announced! I looked at many websites which had them listed as Thursday, 2/22/18. Below is what was printed on the Charles Schwab website.
Fourth Quarter Earnings Announcement Expected: Earnings will tentatively be announced Thursday, 02/22/2018. The consensus earnings are $1.55, with a high and low of $1.65 and $1.48, respectively. The mean has not changed significantly as the end of the quarter nears.
Expected Timing: After close
I looked on other sites and it said the same. I even heard from some of you asking what my plans were for my 2500 shares of RH with earnings imminent. Most of you know I don’t like to be involved in positions with earnings due. Sometimes I get caught and it’s unavoidable. This week was one of the times, however, earnings never came out. I woke up this morning and looked what Charles Schwab’s site said. They now had it printed as follows:

They now had it as March 1st. I then looked on CNBC’s site and they have it as 3/26/2018. I’m hoping there’s some clarity in the next day or so. The scary part is that I sold a 5 contract Call and received a $3 premium. That premium was much too high! That $3 premium would be normal for a company with earnings coming out, not for a stock with no news coming. Someone paid me this large premium and the stock might make a big move today. A large premium means very high volatile. I never sold a Call on my other 2000 shares because of the possible of a big move with earnings due. Now I didn’t bring in a premium and the stock will probably not make a big move today. This should cause some action from the SEC.
Let’s hope they get this straightened out!
