Nvidia Nvidia Nvidia
Who knows where this stock is going? But Nvidia is on the move!
I opened the week owning 100 shares of Nvidia (NVDA) and I was long on 7 options contracts.
Yesterday, I sold my 100 shares and bought 1 contract of the NVDA 1/15/27 $165.00 LEAPS. I bought the shares on June 18th at $133.40 and sold them for $165.00, for a profit of $3,160.

7/14/25 – Buy to Open 1 NVDA 1/15/27 $165.00 C @ $37.00
Out of all the long-term options I own with Nvidia, the closest expiration date was 12/19/25, with a strike price of $135. With Nvidia’s huge move today and only 5 months left to expiration, I decided to exit this position with a nice profit and roll into a longer-term trade expiring in 2027.
You must be very careful with options — you do not want Time Decay to start hurting you. A stock can always pull back, especially after a big move.

Right now, I don’t own any Nvidia stock, but I do own 8 LEAPS contracts: one expires in January 2026 and the remaining seven in January 2027. These positions have my account up about $6,000 today. Remember — this isn’t my money until I sell.
I did a lot of trading yesterday and didn’t have time to report everything. There were quite a few trades, but I’ll go over all of them this weekend in my week-ending results. All trades are also posted on my Active Trades / Current Positions page.
I’ll be writing a post soon on why I like LEAPS options so much and why I feel they’re better than owning the stock.
📈Successful trading,
