Back in Tesla with Covered Calls

Yesterday I bought 100 shares of Tesla at $1077 and sold a 1 contract $1125 Call for a premium of $20 for $2000. This position will expire this Friday. I made this trade yesterday but didn’t get to post it but I did list it on my Active Positions page.

3/28/22 – Buy 100 Shares TSLA @ $1077.00

3/28/22 – Sell to Open 1 TSLA 4/1/22 $1125.00 C @ $20.00 (+$2000)

Also yesterday I sold a 1 contract Naked Call with Tesla. I sold the $1170 Call for a premium of $10 for another $1000. This Call also expires this Friday.

This morning the market opened up and Tesla was up about $15. I decided to cover this Naked Call. I bought another 100 shares and now it’s a Covered Call.

3/29/22 – Buy 100 Shares TSLA  @ $1110.00

3/28/22 – Sell to Open 1 TSLA 4/1/22 $1170.00 C @ $10.00 (+$1000)

Both of these positions get a Risk Factor 1.

As I’m writing about my Tesla trade I was just filled on a Nvidia trade. Back on 3/21/22 I bought 100 shares of NVDA at $265. Today with the stock up I bought another 100 shares at $285. I now own 200 shares of NVDA at $275.

I was just filled on a 2 contract Call. I sold 2 NVDA 4/1/22 $290 Calls for a premium of $4 for a total of $800.

I did buy 100 of these shares on 3/21 but I’ll list them with today’s date because I bought the other 100 shares today.

3/29/22 – Buy 200 Shares NVDA @ $275.00

3/29/22 – Sell to Open 2 NVDA 4/1/22 $290.00 C @ $4.00 (+$800)

This NVDA trade also gets a Risk Factor 1.

Successful trading,

Steve
