RH is such a volatile stock, today I decided to take some nice profit. I love locking in profit! I owned a bunch of the stock that I bought at all different times so I’ll do my best to explain exactly how it went. I still own the 500 shares I bought way back on 7\/24\/17 for $74.60. If the stock gets up to my buy price I’ll probably jump out of these also. Other than these 500 shares I also own 200 shares that I have an option sold against. This is a $70 Call that expires today. I’ll get assigned on this 200 shares at the close today. I’ll be down to only the 500 shares mentioned above. BUT, you never know, if RH takes a dip during the day I might jump back in because I like the stock. The shares I sold today was profit taking, I do plan on getting back in at some point, today or next week.<\/p>\n
Below are all the dates where I bought stock and they were sold today at $73.65.<\/p>\n
For the first group of stock I bought 500 shares on 9\/7\/17. With this 500 shares I also sold a $70 Call. When the stock was in a dip I put in an order to buy back my 5 contracts of the Calls but was only executed on 3 contracts. I still have 2 contracts of the $70 Calls that expire today. This is why I only sold 300 shares of that 500. I had to keep 200 shares to cover the 2 remaining contracts.<\/p>\n

It was a nice 1 day trade.<\/p>\n 9\/14\/17 – Buy 500 Shares RH @ $71.30<\/p>\n 9\/15\/17 – Sell 500 Shares RH @ $73.65<\/p>\n Profit +$1175<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n I just locked in $3995! This money is in my mattress! I felt good taking the profit when I did, however, the stock continued up. As I write the stock is up to $74.90 and I just sold the 500 shares I bought on 7\/24\/17 at $74.60. Not a big profit but sometimes I like to clean house and I thought it was a great opportunity. Now I’m down to the 200 shares that are covering my 2 contracts that will be assigned today at the close at $70.<\/p>\n 7\/24\/17 – Buy 500 Shares RH @ $74.60<\/p>\n 9\/15\/17 – Sell 500 Shares RH @ $74.90<\/p>\n Profit +$150<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n With this last 500 shares my profit for cleaning house today is up to +$4145<\/strong>.
