I had a very nice week of bringing in a large amount of premiums, however, I’m not happy! Last week I had 10 positions expire and only one that wasn’t assigned and this week I had five positions expire and none were assigned. Last week I was able to get into all new stocks and options but this week I’m still holding the same stock and hopefully their not too low where I can’t get a good premium. I need some of my stock to go up Monday. If not I have to wait until they do in order to get the premiums I desire. I get asked all the time, why do I like to get assigned and lose my stock? This is why! This week is a great example. I’m not a stock investor, I’m an options trader. If I get caught holding stock below where I bought it bogs down my premium intake. Let’s take a look at my expired trades.<\/p>\n

Advanced Micro Devices<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n I’ve been holding 2000 shares of AMD since 6\/26\/17 and I haven’t been assigned yet. However, I’ve been able to sell Call every week. This is the lone position that wasn’t assigned last week. This I sold another 20 contracts and got a nice premium but was not assigned again. The stock is not far from where I bought so hopefully I get another premium this week coming.<\/p>\n 7\/17\/17- Sell to Open 20 AMD 7\/28\/17 $15 C @ 45\u00a2 (+$900)<\/p>\n 7\/28\/17 – Expired 20 AMD 7\/28\/17 $15 C<\/p>\n \u00a0Profit +$900<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Micron<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n I bought Micron at $31.77 and the stock came down this week, it closed at $29.28. If the NASDAQ doesn’t move this week I might have to sit on this 2000 shares for a while. Let’s hope it gets a bounce. On expiration day the stock was well above my Strike Price 15 minutes before the close then it dipped below my Strike a few minutes before closing. I bought 500 shares at $74.60 and the stock is down to $69.87. The stock is very volatile so I’m hoping for a move up this week. It’s been moving down the last few days. I hope this is profit taking because of the big move up in the last few months. I did get a nice premium this week. It’s been a strong stock as of late so maybe it will continue up this week. If so I’ll get a premium on an options sale.
