It’s Sunday evening and I’m just getting to the week ending report. I had my family over all day Saturday, and I had students this morning. I’m just getting it done now.<\/p>\n
This was not a good week for the market. I locked in some nice money but many of my holdings are below my buy-in price. I’m hoping we have a good day tomorrow so I can get Calls sold on the stocks I’m holding.<\/p>\n
This week I was assigned on only one stock, Workhorse (WKHS). The rest I still own. A nice rebound tomorrow and I get more Calls sold.<\/p>\n
Let’s look at this week’s money makers.<\/p>\n
Nvidia<\/strong><\/p>\n On Monday I sold a Call with NVDA for a $6000 premium. The same day the stock dropped and I did a “Buy to Close” for $1700 having a $4300 profit. The next day I sold another Call bringing in another $3000 premium. This trade is below.<\/p>\n 9\/14\/20 \u2013 Sell to Open 10 NVDA 9\/18\/20 $570.00 C @ $6.00 (+$6000)<\/strong><\/p>\n 9\/14\/20 \u2013 Buy to Close 10 NVDA 9\/18\/20 $570.00 C @ $1.70 (-$1700) <\/strong><\/p>\n Workhorse<\/strong><\/p>\n I bought a 2 contract LEAPS back on 7\/13. I sold it Thursday for a $1660 profit. I would have been better off holding it a little longer because the stock continued up. No problem! I had a 93% return.<\/p>\n 7\/13\/20 \u2013 Buy to Open 2 WKHS 12\/17\/21 $18.00 C @ $8.90\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n 9\/17\/20 \u2013 Sell to close 2 WKHS 12\/17\/20 $18.00 C @ $17.20 <\/strong><\/p>\n Workhorse<\/strong><\/p>\n On Monday I liked the premiums with WKHS. I bought the stock at $24 and sold an At-the-Money Call. I was in this for the premium. I received $1.70 for $1700. I was assigned.<\/p>\n 9\/14\/20 \u2013 Buy 1000 Shares WKHS @ $24.00<\/strong><\/p>\n 9\/18\/20 \u2013 Assigned 1000 Shares WKHS @ $24.00 <\/strong><\/p>\n 9\/14\/20 \u2013 Sell to Open 10 WKHS 9\/18\/20 $24.00 C @ $1.70 (+$1700)<\/strong><\/p>\n 9\/18\/20 \u2013 Expired 10 WKHS 9\/18\/20 $24.00 C <\/strong><\/p>\n Nvidia<\/strong><\/p>\n This is the 2nd Call I sold with NVDA this week. A nice 3K return.<\/p>\n 9\/15\/20 \u2013 Sell to Open 10 NVDA 9\/18\/20 $555.00 C @ $3.00 (+$3000)<\/strong><\/p>\n 9\/18\/20 \u2013 Expired 10 NVDA 9\/18\/20 $555.00 C <\/strong><\/p>\n Square<\/strong><\/p>\n SQ has been below where I bought. On Tuesday I got a Call sold for an 80\u00a2 premium. a little low for a high priced stock but this premium will pay some of my business expenses. Like margin interest.<\/p>\n 9\/15\/20 \u2013 Sell to Open 10 SQ 9\/18\/20 $170.00 C @ $80\u00a2 (+$800)<\/strong><\/p>\n 9\/18\/20 \u2013 Expired 10 SQ 9\/18\/20 $170.00 C <\/strong><\/p>\n Apple<\/strong><\/p>\n I bought 1000 shares and sold a 10 contract Call. As soon as I did the stock started to drop. I’m really not worried about this stock. It will bounce back soon. brought in a nice $1600 premium.<\/p>\n 9\/15\/20 \u2013 Sell to Open 10 AAPL 9\/18.20 $120.00 C @ $1.60 (+$1600)<\/strong><\/p>\n 9\/18\/20 \u2013 Expired 10 AAPL 9\/18\/20 $120.00 C <\/strong><\/p>\n Micron<\/strong><\/p>\n This one I sold a Call a 10 contract Call on Friday. I’m in the stock at $51.75 and sold the $52 Call. I was hoping to get assigned but the stock went up to $52.15 and pulled back again. Maybe this week! I’ll take the $300 and go out to dinner.<\/p>\n 9\/18\/20 \u2013 Sell to Open 10 MU 8\/18\/20 $52.00 C @ 30\u00a2 (+$300)<\/strong><\/p>\n 9\/18\/20 \u2013 Expired 10 MU 8\/18\/20 $52.00 C <\/strong><\/p>\n A real nice week.
