I’m sorry for not reporting these trades yesterday but I actually made them when I was with students and didn’t have time to write the report. I figured, let me get this to you before I start my trading and teaching day.<\/p>\n
Occidental Petroleum \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n I am slowly bailing out of this losing position to free up money for winners. I sold another 100 shares at a loss.<\/p>\n 6\/8\/20 \u2013 Buy 100 Shares OXY @ $23.75<\/strong><\/p>\n 8\/27\/20 \u2013 Sell 100 Shares OXY @ $13.00 <\/strong><\/p>\n Square<\/strong><\/p>\n On 8\/10 I bought 1 contract of a SQ LEAPS. I jumped out with a nice profit.<\/p>\n 8\/10\/20 \u2013 Buy to Open 1 SQ 1\/21\/22 $140.00 C @ $37.00<\/strong><\/p>\n 8\/27\/20 \u2013 Sell to Close 1 SQ 1\/21\/22 $140.00 C @ $48.00<\/strong><\/p>\n Apple<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n This next trade I do not recommend. I bought another Apple option but this one is a short term position. You know I do not buy short term options so why did I buy this one?<\/p>\n I hope this is a good excuse! One of my young students sees first hand how well I’m doing with my Apple and Tesla positions. He does not have enough money to buy the positions I’m in, but he really wanted to get involved in the Apple split. While we were together he saw an option he could afford. This is it below. I think it can do well if he gets out on Monday. To make him feel more comfortable I said I’d also buy it. I said if you lose money, I’ll lose it with you. lol. I think he felt better with me also getting in.<\/p>\n Buy to Open 1 AAPL 9\/18\/20 $510.00 C @ $23.75 (Delta .49)<\/strong><\/p>\n I frown upon buying short term options, but this is a little different. This stock is splitting. And it’s the #1 company in the world. I think the stock will be up today, and I think it will run really well on Monday. Monday the stock will be trading at the split adjusted price. It will open in the $125 area. I think a lot of people who want to own Apple will see this as a great opportunity.<\/p>\n I really hope this position works out. Not as much for me as for my young student.<\/p>\n One we get through Monday I’ll be writing a report on the success of my positions with Apple and Tesla during the split process.
