After Friday’s Expiration Day I was not assigned on a bunch of my stock holdings involved in Covered Calls. This is a shortened trading week because of the 4th of July holiday, between the shortened week and the fact that my stock holdings are below where I bought, it’s tough to get a good premium. Having said that, I was filled on 2 Call positions and I bought 1000 shares of Peloton (PTON).<\/p>\n
I was filled on the selling of an Apple (AAPL) 1 contract Call. I sold 1 contract of the AAPL 7\/2\/20 $355 Call for a premium of $6 for $600.<\/p>\n
Sell to Open 1 AAPL 7\/2\/20 $355.00 C @ $6.00 (+$600)<\/strong><\/p>\n This is a Covered Call on a very good stock. This trade gets a Risk Factor 1<\/strong>.<\/p>\n I was also filled on selling 10 Contracts of the Nutanix (NTNX) 7\/2\/20 $23 Calls. I’m in this stock at $23.65. If I get assigned I’ll lose 65\u00a2 on assignment. I did this to get a nice premium of 50\u00a2. And I already sold Calls on these shares 3 times so I’m ahead of the game with this stock. With this Covered Call I would rather not get assigned. A 65\u00a2 loss would be $650 on the 1000 shares.<\/p>\n Sell to Open 10 NTNX 7\/2\/20 $23.00 C @ 50\u00a2 (+$500)\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n This is a Covered Call on previously owned stock, but if I get assigned I will give back some of the profit I built up the last few weeks. I will still be ahead on this stock position but I’ll give this a Risk Factor 2<\/strong>.<\/p>\n I also bought 1000 shares of PTON and I’m trying to get filled on a $57 Call for a $2 premium. The stock is not moving well today so I might have to wait until tomorrow to try again.
