I had a nice week, but it could have been better if a few trades had gone a little more in my favor. I’ll explain as I write about the trades. The Grasshopper Project is also moving along nicely. Remember, for this project, I\u2019ll stick to just two simple strategies:<\/strong>
\u2705 In-the-Money (ITM) Covered Calls (Once in a while I do an ATM Covered Call)<\/strong>
\u2705 Cash-Secured Puts<\/strong><\/p>\n

Both are designed to generate income with controlled risk \u2014 perfect for anyone learning to trade.<\/p>\n

Weekly Trades Update<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Nvidia (NVDA)<\/strong><\/p>\n

I was assigned 100 shares of Nvidia as a result of a put I sold. The stock moved up $2.70, and I decided to sell the shares and buy 2 LEAPS options. These LEAPS give me long-term exposure to Nvidia. They expire on Jan 15, 2027. Core Scientific (CORZ)<\/strong><\/h4>\n

On June 30th I bought 200 shares of CORZ at $17 and sold a 2-contract call. I was not assigned, so I sold another 2-contract call (the one below). Again I was not assigned, and now the stock has dipped below $13 per share. This week I\u2019ll try to sell another call, but I might have to go out a little further with my expiration date to get a decent premium.<\/p>\n

This is a covered call without assignment. This position might turn into a problem. This week the stock dropped all the way down to $125.84. It\u2019s only 100 shares, but I\u2019m way down on the stock right now.<\/p>\n

This was a simple covered call. I own the 400 shares that cover this call as a result of being assigned from selling puts \u2014 200 at $140 and 200 at $142. I\u2019ll watch the stock this week and probably sell more calls.<\/p>\n

I sold a put with a strike price of $162.50, and the stock closed at $162.44 \u2014 6\u00a2 below my strike. I\u2019m very comfortable with this stock. I\u2019ll sell a call on Monday.<\/p>\n
